Aeration and Dethatching
 

Aeration is an excellent way to alleviate soil compaction which will allow your turf's roots to drive deeper into the soil.

Dethatching will remove the thatch layer from the top of a lawn's soil and thin out a lawn that has gotten to thick with organic matter that hasn't broken down.
